The value for money at Penagrande was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean. The location was great for exploring the surrounding region and the staff were friendly and attentive.
The menu for breakfast could use some improvements.

Restaurant waiter / receptionist and food was very good, including extra appetizers. Good location for surrounding roads to mountains and within 40 miles of coast. Very nice town (bit of a walk uphill).
Surly barman, ignored customers (spent time on mobile phone instead of serving). Quite a walk to the town.

The staff at this hotel were super friendly and helpful, making our stay mind-blowingly amazing! The location was jaw-dropping, with easy access to stunning mountain roads and a beautiful riverside walk into town. The food in the restaurant was delicious and surprisingly affordable, and the bar/lounge area was the perfect spot to unwind with a few beers after exploring the breathtaking National Park. The free wi-fi and flat-screen TV in the room were a nice bonus, and the off-site car park provided ample parking for our motorcycles. We also noticed a children's play area and cots available, making it a family-friendly destination. The lift was convenient and the coffee shop was a great place for a morning pick-me-up. this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way and we can't wait to return!

Whenever I visit this place, I am always content. They made sure I felt warm during my first stay with a hot drink. It has everything I need: Wi-Fi, car park, bar, restaurant, coffee shop. I'm coming back for Easter!

Regional Specialities: The restaurant at the hotel offers a variety of delicious regional specialities, such as wild boar, game, and local cheeses. I tried the wild boar and it was so tender and flavorful, it melted in my mouth. It was a taste experience like no other!
Charged for Cheaper Room: When settling my bill, I noticed that I was charged for the cheaper room instead of the one I actually stayed in. It was a minor oversight, but it would have been nicer to have been billed correctly from the start.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, making us feel like VIPs. We had a blast exploring the beautiful National Park of Somedia and riding our motorbikes through the stunning mountain roads. Plus, the food at the hotel was on point, especially considering how affordable it was. And don't get me started on the cheap bottle of wine – it was a total steal!
If I had to nitpick, I wish there were more party options for us young folks. The town had plenty of bars and shops, but we were hoping for some more happening nightlife spots.

The room we stayed in was really spacious and had a private bathroom with a bath or shower. It was perfect for our family, and we felt really comfortable.
Personally, I found the sofa in the apartment a bit uncomfortable. But I guess it's just my opinion.

Our stay at Hotel Penagrande in Cangas De Narcea was a great experience for our family. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Our kids absolutely loved exploring the nearby National Park of Somedia, with its breathtaking views and scenic motorbike rides. The hotel's location on the outskirts of Cangas de Narcea provided ample parking, and we enjoyed the pleasant riverside walk into town. it was a fantastic base for our family adventure.
For families with children, my wife says that it would be great if the hotel had a children's play area or some recreational activities to keep the little ones entertained during the stay.
